I am a self-taught painter from an artistic family. I am not formally trained, but I am a life-long learner, educating myself by reading, drawing, thinking, doing, and most of all, dreaming. I am inspired and fascinated by the classic ideals and methods in painting and composition of the Renaissance and the Old Masters. I feel that my professional training in the sciences gives me the necessary curiosity and discipline to develop myself in the tradition of the great realists who are far beyond my capabilities, but at the very least inspire me to never stop working at my craft.
